WHAT IS CLIMATE CHANGE ?

Climate change is the biggest threat that we currently face as a global society. Carbon Dioxide levels in the atmosphere, caused by the burning of fossil fuels insulate the earth causing the climate to warm. This warming will have catastrophic effects on future generations unless we act to reduce them now. We are currently emitting more carbon then ever before in 650,000 years of known history, and the resultant change in climate is causing longer warm seasons, more severe storms, melting glaciers and the break up of whole chunks of the Antarctic ice shelf.

We can start to make an impact against climate change, and greenhouse gas emmisions by taking part in programs to offset, that is to remove from the environment, the amount of carbon that we are directly responsible for producing.
